Easing Back into all things NoCode and AI: My First Letter of 2025
Why Multitasking is a Myth (For Me) 🤪
It’s been a while since I last wrote to you all.
It was the year 2024… hee hee. For reals though, welcome to the first edition of 2025, where I will introduce myself to you all, especially those new to my letters.
Confession time: I was going to do something cheesy like "25 things for 2025" and mercifully decided against it.
This year is one where I fully step into my voice, and that means starting at the very beginning, who exactly am I!?
So, thank you & cheers for being here, and let's get into what I write about each month and why.
First though, lets take a Mindful Breath
Before I get going (and trust me, I get going), let's drop our shoulders, unclench our jaws, and release all that needs to be done right now.
Instead, come and hang out with me for five minutes as we chat about easing into all things AI, No Code, and, of course, Automations.
Who Am I?
My name is Nix (Nicolette by birth), and I am based in Cape Town, South Africa, though I have spent time working in the UK and Johannesburg.
It feels like my work life and I woke up in November 2022 when ChatGPT came into all our lives.
Like a sleeping caterpillar, I awoke. {Hoping I am that 🦋 now}
What I mean by that is, my passion & career awoke.
I had been doing well in Tech Recruitment & Hiring, but I was so busy with that, I had stopped learning about the very tech I was hiring for.
I started my first-ever AI Bootcamp, an online practical program with Brad & Mel (who are running another Bootcamp soon, check it out here:
And as they say, the rest is …well its led me to this moment, to-day!

So, What I Am Studying right now
Currently, I am studying the AI and Automation Master course through 9x.
I absolutely love this trio, as they’re unapologetically themselves and make sense of all the tech and changes happening around us.
They also share real-world examples that are so useful, you can start applying them right away!
It's been great ( all this playing with software and AI) as I now have a newfound confidence.
I am both AI and Data literate, so much so that I now want to build my own databases with No Code tools like Softr and Airtable, as well as build an MVP using AI Bootcamp at the 100 Days of Code program.
Its also teaching me: To slow down
So yes, I love to read and to study.
Though at times, my mind asks way too many questions.
Which is why, sometimes, I'm glad I'm also a qualified Yoga Teacher, as at least I know how to silence myself when I begin to drive myself crazy. 😜
From this entire Automations | No Code | AI | Code with AI journey, I would say: “Give yourself time” to understand how this affects you, at work and personally, and stay away from the hype.
Also, FOMO is real people.
I get sucked into the hype regularly, as it all looks and sounds so damn interesting, and I want to study and play in all the playgrounds from Claude to CrewAI.
I am utterly and OTT fascinated, and of course naturally worried at times too.
The worry comes from hoping we consider AI ethics, as well as the planetary costs of this tech.
Tech that uses chips and resources mined from our over-mined Earth.
More AI means more compute, and that means more power, which means more heating & cooling facilities like data centers.
There is a cost to that, and to Mother Earth.
If you get a minute, read “Atlas of AI” by Kate Crawford
Who I Write For
So that’s who I am.
Part Yogini, Earth lover, and part Tech Geek.
I write about tools that help me or people who inspire me.
I write for you and for me.
Especially when I talk about slowing down in a time of hyper busyness and constant "GO GO GO."
It’s okay.
As we say in yoga practice, “You are exactly where we need to be right now!”
AI Works Best With Your Expertise
In my case, that’s hiring and recruiting.
And you know what?
They are important.
Because without people, you genuinely cannot say you're in business.
So this year, you'll hear more about my paid work, recruiting & hiring ( + workshops) and how GenAI is helping support that.
How Can I Help?
Inspired by Katt from BTK, here is how I can help (when you need me, as Nanny McPhee would say 😂)

Help Me To Bring No Code & Low Code to South Africa
I am passionate about making No Code & Low Code more accessible in South Africa!
Let’s make it happen together.
See my post here: No Code & Low Code in Cape Town
Connect with me on LinkedIn, as I am happy to support you and your teams, both mentally with health and wellness, and technically with the right tools for your HR business unit.
The Importance of Taking Breaks
Also, I spent so much time behind my laptop that I developed what I call “Tech Neck.”
I was so busy chasing AI, thatI forgot to stretch. To swim in the sea. To cuddle my dogs. To just be me.
December taught me to power off.
This year? More breaks. More presence. More life.
Like Kit Kat reminds us: "Take that break!"
Final Thoughts
Your life needs you to be fully present.
So, au revoir to multitasking.
Go do one thing well.
Blessings always,
Until Next month,
Nix Good
